About and sources
How it works
FindGoodMovies helps you find a good movie to watch. Our lists rank movies by critic scores, and every movie has a page with its cast, directors and writers.
Where the data comes from
- Movie facts, cast, characters, people and awards come from Wikidata, which publishes its data under CC0. When Wikidata does not know something, we leave it out. Ages are calculated from the full birth date in Wikidata; without a full date we show no age.
- Critic scores are the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer and the Metacritic Metascore, as recorded in Wikidata. They are not taken from Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic directly.
- Covers, film images and links to Amazon come from Amazon. Amazon content is refreshed at least daily.
- Actor photos come from Wikimedia Commons, linked from Wikidata. We only use photos under a free licence that allows this use (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA), and name the photographer and licence with each photo.
- Trailers are official trailers listed on Wikidata and hosted on YouTube. Our pages load nothing from YouTube until you click “Watch trailer”. The player then loads in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
